1. Snip as many excess threads as possible. (if there is an excessive amount of threads that need to be snipped, an additional charge may be added)
2. Square up your quilt top.
3. Press, press, press your quilt top.
4. Important for a beautiful result, press your seams on your quilt top open as much as possible to avoid thick seam joins and press the seams on pieced backing fabric open.
5. Make sure there are no visible damage(s) to your quilt such as rips or holes before shipping to me or bringing to my studio.
6. DO NOT place pins or safety pins in any part of a quilt. These can be missed and damage the quilt and machine.
7. DO NOT baste your quilt together with spray, pins, or stitches. I will baste backing, batting and quilt top together.
Customer is responsible for providing batting and back along with quilt-top unless you prefer to purchase either from me directly. See pricing.
The batting should measure a minimum of 4 inches greater on each side and top and bottom, just like your backing.
Example if your quilt top is 40" x 52" your backing should be 48" X 60".

1. If your backing is made up of regular width of fabric (approximately 44" wide), you must sew the backing using a long seam before shipping or bringing to my studio.
